Catherine P. McNamara nee Butler

Born into Eternal Life February 4, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. McNamara.

Loving mother of Mary (Michael) O'Heron, Joanne (Charles) Davidauskas, and Edward (Patricia) McNamara.

Fond daughter of the late Joseph E. and Catherine Butler (nee Polivka).

Fond grandmother of Cate and Nora Davidauskas, Robert, Sarah, Daniel, Carrie, Emily and Julie O'Heron, Amanda (Alex) Durante and great-grandchildren Russell, Arlo and Wesley Durante.

Dear sister of Robert Butler, and the late Genevieve
Adams and Joseph F. Butler and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, and a dear friend.

Catherine was a gentle and kind spirit who put her heart and soul into everything that she did.

She had many interests and talents that she shared with others, including gardening, wholesome cooking, bowling and reading.

Catherine had an artistic eye for interior design, fashion, and art. She liked live music and enjoyed celebrations with family and friends.

Her love of nature began early, on the farm in Michigan, and continued throughout her life. She enjoyed her summers in Wisconsin surrounded by family and friends, and later in life her trips with Ed to Florida.

She was an exceptional caregiver to many family members in their later years. Catherine had a very watchful eye when it came to her grandchildren and she never grew tired of caring, cooking and baking for them. She even graciously chaperoned her two granddaughters travel abroad.

Catherine was especially devoted to her loving husband Edward, who greatly cherished her, as did her children and grandchildren and all those fortunate to have known her.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Cletus Roman Catholic Church, 600 W. 55 ^th Street LaGrange, IL on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10:00 am.  (Please arrive at Church by 9:45AM)
