Margaret “Peggy” Walsh nee Maloney.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas.

Loving mother of Timothy (Karen) Walsh, William (Margie) Walsh, Deborah (late Gene) Mate, and James (Marianne) Walsh

Daughter of the late Michael and Bridget nee Gaughan Maloney.

Fond grandmother of Kelli (Patrick) Enyart, Thomas (Lisa) Walsh, Erin (Brandon) Mize, Sarah (RJ) Gurney, Kevin (Courtney) Walsh, Jack Walsh, Caitlyn Walsh, Gino Mate, Michael Walsh and Matthew Walsh.

Great grandmother of Haylie Enyart, Audrey Enyart, Luke Enyart, Madeline Walsh, Sophia Walsh, Joey Gurney, Liam Gurney and Amelia Mize.

Dear Sister of the late Winnie Becvarik, late Joseph (late Eleanor) Maloney, late Sheila (late Patrick) Clemens, Bea (Michael) Duffy, late Maureen (late Jim) Mannion, late Michael (Gail) Maloney, Patricia (Robert) Haertel, Judy (Dr. Anthony) Balesteri, Ann (late Bob) Johnson, and the late Mary (late Manny) Rabago.

Peggy was born in Chicago and spent her married life in Westchester, where she worked for Corporate Jewel Foods as an assistant merchandiser for 31 years. She later moved to Florida making it her home for 15 years. During her time there, she proudly twirled with the Prime Time Twirlers, participating in numerous events and competitions that brought her great joy.

A gifted artist, Peggy painted many pieces and lovingly crafted pine needle baskets for friends and family. She found happiness in staying busy, whether creating new crafts, tending to her landscaping, or adding beauty to her home in her own thoughtful way.

Her creativity, energy, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers donations in Peggy’s name to Research Foundation funding MPN Research mpnresearchfoundation.org would be appreciated.

Visitation Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 10:00AM-11:00AM at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Catholic Church 8404 S. Cass Ave. Darien, IL 60561

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00AM

Interment with graveside services will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery Hillside, IL.
