Funeral Liturgy will begin at 10:00AM.

Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The life of Mary Berzinis will be celebrated.  She was a grand staple in many lives.

First and foremost, Mary had a true respect and love for her Orthodox faith.  She was a proud member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church. She was charitable and a "pierogi pincher" with many of her church friends.

Mary was a friend, confidant, Aunt and "second mom" to many.

She was compassionate and always took the time to listen and help others.

She was positive and upbeat in her responses and could put you in a good mood by the end of the conversation.

Mary loved animals and was a "pet-parent" to many dogs, and later in life, cats too.  They silently gravitated to her, feeling her kind and caring nature

Mary loved to work and keep busy.  She worked at Art and Gallery, AT&T, in the catering industry, and at a Memorial Stone Business.  But her #1 employment was at Rothschild's Clothing Store on 6 corners. There she happily worked with her brother, Bill and many other family members for years.  She loved sales and talking to people and matching that perfect shirt, suit and tie.  She met many life-long friends there.

In addition to her many talents, Mary was an excellent baker, especially her breads and cakes.

She enjoyed making her Easter basket and having people over to eat.  She was also known for her for her beautiful sewing, crocheting and knitting.

Lastly Mary was a great Mother. She was a supportive, loving, generous and caring Mom.

Words cannot express the love and bond we had.  As I say goodbye for now her heavenly family will greet her with open arms.

In lieu of flowers donations in Mary's name to St. Michael's Orthodox Church  7313 N. Waukegan Rd. Niles, IL 60714 would be appreciated.
