"Skip" Haak
January 19, 1950 – May 25, 2018
Randall C. "Skip" Haak, age 68. Beloved husband, father, Pop Pop and brother passed away after a brief illness on May 25, 2018.
Skip, a US Army Veteran and coach within the Fenton High School baseball program for 20 years, is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kathy (nee McCauley) and his two children, Kimberly (Matthew) Hennager and Michael (April) Haak, four grandchildren, Peyton and Andrew Hennegar and Kevin and Alexander Haak, and a brother Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents Casmer and Violet Haak of Berwyn.
Skip was an outstanding high school and collegiate athlete, staring in all sports. His first love was baseball, however. He received a football scholarship offer but declined because he wouldn't be able to play baseball.
He excelled at Morton West High School and Carthage College receiving numerous awards for his athletic accomplishments. Many articles about his feats were published in the Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun Times and the Berwyn Life
A memorial visitation with Military Honors to remember and celebrate Skip and his life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 1:00-4:00PM at Fenton High School Field House, 1000 W. Green Street, Bensenville, IL 60106.
