Dick was a long time and proud member of the GCC/IBT International Printers Union Local 458-M Chicago, IL.

He was an avid reader and bowler. He loved his Lionel Electric Model Train set and enjoyed "working on the railroad" with his grandchildren. He also coached Dunham Little League and was a Little League umpire.
